Is there any spf in your moisturisers?

We estimate our moisturisers are SPF 2-4 due to the Prickly Pear Cactus and the natural UV filtering of the plant oils. However, we should stress that the moisturisers have not been laboratory tested for SPF and we would recommend the use of additional sun protection if you are outside for long periods.

Do you have any sunscreen products?

It is incredibly hard to create a save and natural sunscreen within the restraints of EcoCert's strict criteria that would feel comfortable on the face and not leave you looking greasy. Until we find an organic solution to these issues we will not be able to launch a suncare range.

Why have the names and packaging of your products changed?

We have changed all of the products in the ESMERIA line to new certified organic formulations. We took this opportunity to improve and expand the line. Below is a list of the old products and their new and improved counterpart:

Can ESMERIA be used on children?

We would suggest that you put off using face care and make-up on children for as long as possible. However our line is free from harmful chemicals due to the fact that it is made to EcoCert's strict criteria. So it would not harm your child's delicate skin. Having said that you may want to chech out our sister line Buds For Kids.

Can i use ESMERIA products whilst pregnant?

None of our products contain ingredients at levels which should cause concern during pregnancy. However, certain products may contain levels of ingredients such as essential oils that some women choose to avoid. If you have any concerns we advise you to consult your GP before using any products.

Does ESMERIA test on animals?

ESMERIA is completely against the testing of skincare ingredients and products on animals. In fact we consider ourselves to be animal lovers, and our employees are encouraged to bring their furry friends to work. We are one of the very few pet friendly offices in Malaysia and have Hanson, Clifford and Snickers reporting to work almost daily.

EcoCert is also against this and it is part of their criteria that the product and its ingredients are not tested on animals. Furthermore they require that a EcoCert certified product is free from animal ingredients.

We ensure that all of our products are formulated to be mild, safe and effective. We then test them on ourselves, friends, colleagues and relatives. Once we are happy with the results we will test them on a panel of volunteers. When we get the feedback that we want we release them to you.

However it would be untrue to say that our products are not used on animals. We will treat our pets to the same products as our babies. You will often find them having a bath with Buds Everyday Head to Toe Cleanser or their ouchies soothed with Buds First Aid Lotion.

Do ESMERIA use palm oil?

We don't use ingredients sourced from Palm Oil in our products.

Is ESMERIA organic?

ESMERIA Organics are certified as organic by EcoCert from France. We are the first company in SEA to become certified by EcoCert.

Can i get an allergic reaction from ESMERIA products?

Although Allergic reactions to ESMERIA products are very rare indeed, if you think you have suffered an allergic reaction, please stop using the product. It is possible to be allergic to pretty much anything including essential oils and other natural ingredients. If you suspect you have a sensitivity we would strongly recommend that you test a small amount of any new product on the inside of your elbow. If you experience any redness or tingling you should return the product for a refund.
